As the only Division to currently have its own Young Teachers’ Conference (HYTC), Hertfordshire is an excellent place to be for the 2500 teachers aged 35 and under.
We have a high profile in schools as representatives, as active members working to make the voices of teachers across Herts heard and as key roles in the Herts NUT Committee.
As well as the annual HYTC, Hertfordshire’s Young Teachers receive key information through emails and exclusive Young Teacher socials about upcoming meetings and briefings. This networking allows us to come and have a say in the running of the Division and to discover information first-hand from members of the NUT Executive and Herts Committee. It’s also an excellent way to connect with Young Teachers in other Associations and Divisions and we have close links with other Eastern Region teachers.
Make sure you:
- Follow Hertfordshire’s Twitter page, which is run by Young Teachers, at @NUTHertsDeers
- Email firstname.lastname@example.org to be included on the mailing list
- Text 07795 489 897 to receive information and reminders by text, and to be inlcuded in the relevant Eastern Young Teachers Whatsapp group.
2018 NUT Young Teachers Conference, 22 to 24 June
The Young Teachers Conference provides young teachers with the opportunity to meet and network with other young teachers from across England and Wales. It aims to support young teachers already active in the NUT and to encourage other young teachers to become active within the NUT through workshops, exhibitions, plenaries, CPD, TeachMeets, theatre and fun.
